Slash fanfic: Sleeping Beauty - The Kehlan and Avéran Remix

I förrgår var det då National Coming Out Day.

Once upon a time in the land Intrestingname there was a very handsome and beloved prince. His name was Kehlan. Kehlan lived in a huge beautiful castle with his mum, the queen and his father the king. But even though he was a beloved prince and had two horses, five dogs and ten cats he was a very lonely young man. Because he didn’t have any human interaction apart from his parents and the many servants that worked in the castle. Once, when he had been younger he had had a friend, his best friend. But she was long gone now, she had been married off to some count in another country. Kehlan missed her, a lot. Not because he had been interested in marrying her which all the servants used to gossip about. He had never even thought about marry her, she had been his friend and nothing more. And he really needed a friend.

His father and mother noticed Kehlans discomfort about being lonely and started to invite all their friends that they knew had daughters in a suitable age. It was time he found himself a wife anyway. But none of the beautiful, smart and witty girls struck his fancy. Sure he liked them, there weren’t anything wrong with them but he just couldn’t picture himself being married to one of them. Spending the rest of his life with one of them. So he refused them one after another. Soon he had broken every young girls heart in the country and his father had had enough.
“If you do not marry a girl I will be forced to kick you out” he said in his cold demanding voice, The Voice of Doom.
“I can’t marry anyone of the girls I have met father!” Kehlan protested. Because it was the truth.
“It is your choice son!” his father said, still using The Voice of Doom.
“Then I guess I will have to leave then!” he said. His mother started to cry and plead to his father that he couldn’t do this against his only son. But both the king and Kehlan were very, very stubborn so no one would give up.

So that was why Kehlan had to say good by to his ten cats and five dogs before he mounted his horse and rode away. He travelled far across deserts and through forests. He saw great cities and unexplored lands. Until one day he came across a huge castle covered in nettles and rose bushes with big thorns. He dismounted his horse when he got closer. Why would anyone leave a castle to such horrible fate? He walked up to the gate and bound his horse before he tried opening the gate. It wouldn’t open. He gazed up at the high walls. It wouldn’t be easy to climb them, but his curiosity had peaked and he had a feeling he would find something important inside.

So he started to climb. He scratched himself at the nettles and thorns. His shirt and pants were thorn in several places. But he managed to get on top of the wall were he sat down and tried to catch his breath. But he had only rested for a minute or so before he was attacked by a huge eagle that came sweeping down on him. He flailed with his arms and lost his balance and as you all can guess, he fell down. He was lucky and at least landed on the right side of the wall. But it had hurt and when he had gotten back on his feet he stared up at the sky trying to spot the eagle, but it was gone.

He muttered to himself and looked down at the damage that had been done to his clothes. The pants would probably survive, but his shirt was pretty much torn to pieces. He took it off and wiped some sweat off his muscled upper body before he threw it away. It was a warm day any way. That was when he noticed how still everything was. No sound, not even a single breeze. It was very strange he though while ha begun to make his way towards the castle.

Once inside he noticed the complete lack of dust on the floor, only because he stumbled on something and fell face first down on the floor. He was starting to wish he had never found the castle because obviously it had some sort of “fall down and hurt you”-curse. But once he, again, stood on his feet he noticed that what he had stumbled on was a human. An unconscious man was lying on the floor. Kehlan crouched down and checked for his pulse. Nope. No pulse. He had stumbled on a dead man. This was a little creepy. But Kehlan wasn’t only handsome, he was also very, very brave. So he pulled out his sword and continued to walk slowly through the corridors of the castle.

After a while and two hundred and twenty twelve stairs, he had counted and lost count a couple of times, he had ended up at the top of the tower right outside a wooden door. A locked door. That was when the fairy appeared. A green fairy with a mischievous grin on its face.
“Hello young prince. Behind this door lies someone waiting for true loves kiss. If you prove to not be the one, you will die in this castle like everyone else. But you can leave now and not be harmed if you wish” that fairy said, laughed and disappeared in a cloud of blue smoke.

Kehlan stood there looking at the spot were the fairy had been. He should go inside. But he didn’t actually think he was meant to find love. And really it was just stupid of him to risk dying. But at the same time, he was here and he had to be here for a reason. He hadn’t found love among all his parents friends daughters, maybe the reason for that simply was that his love was in a silent castle full of dead people. Maybe his love were on the other side of that door. Before he had really decided what to do in his mind he had already opened the door and stepped inside the room.

It was very cold in the room, and he shivered. In the middle of the room a big four post bead was standing and when he stepped closer he could se someone lying in it. When he got closer he could se that it was a young man, about the same age as Kehlan lying in the bed. He had black spiky hair. His eyes were clothes and it looked like he was sleeping. Kehlan stepped up beside the bed and looked at the man and for the first time Kehlan saw what had to be the ultimate beauty. He bent down slowly and pressed his lips against the mans cold mouth wishing it would work because something so beautiful shouldn’t waste away in a tower.

One second… two seconds… Kehlan was just about to give up when he felt warmth radiating from the body and the mouth opened up beneath his. He could hear a small moan from the man when Kehlan pushed his tongue inside his mouth. After a second Kehlan pulled back though and just looked at the other mans whose eyes were now open and looking at Kehlan.
“I am Avéran” the man said.
“I am Kehlan”
“Are you my true love?” Avéran asked.
“Apparently, since you woke up and I am not dead”
“Oh… You are gorgeous” he said looking all over Kehlans body with lust filled eyes. Before he grabbed him and pulled him down on top of him.

Lots and lots of kissing followed… And not only kissing. When they were done, they left the castle behind them and travelled to Kehlans home. Where Kehlan came out to his people by kissing Avéran right in front of his father. But there weren’t any homophobes living in Interestingname so a month later a huge royal wedding were held. All the women in the kingdom wept. Kehlan and Avéran had a wonderful wedding night with lots and lots of sex. And they lived happily ever after.

The End
